Odious pro-government NGO collects signatures to denationalise and deport Sergei Mitrokhin
Press Release, July 5, 2013
On June 17 a public relief fund Social Justice in support of the poor in Krasnodar conducted a statutory conference where they announced the collection of signatures for denationalisation and deportation of those who in their opinion are enemies of Russia’s state-building. Chair of YABLOKO Sergei Mitrokhin, blogger Alexei Navalny and other leaders of the protest movement are on the list.
At the meeting members of the fund took a decision to creat an initiative group for collection of signatures. The activists of the fund informed the State Duma about their intention to struggle against the enemies of stability.
The thought leaders of the pensioners [members of the organisation are mainly elderly people] Vyacheslav Ushkin and Marat Dinaryov gave an account of their work on destruction of opposition in Krasnodar.
According to them, they managed to force the Krasnodar Region branch of YABOKO out. The activists of the fund came to the YABLOKO’s office 19 times and conducted pickets “hands off from Putin”. All the actions were inflammatory. During the actions the activists damaged the metal door in the YABLOKO’s office, tried to tear off the sticker “Putin, go away!” from the opposition activist’s car and on December 4, 2012, conducted a ‘puting’ (a word coined of two words – “Putin” and “meeting” – and meaning a loud action in support of Vladimir Putin) outside YABLOKO’s office in Krasnodar where they burned the effigies of Sergei Mitrokhin, Evgenia Chirikova and Alexei Navalny. Saint inquisitors always recorded their actions on the video and conflicted with YABLOKO’s office staff.
The Social Justice fund is a public organisation in the Krasnodar Territory. Its statutory activity is helping the poor. According to their official website, “at the moment more than 3500 families are registered in the fund and the number grows every day”. Probably that’s why the activists receive food-stuff after the actions in accordance with the lists of the present. It’ s also recorded on the video.
The use of the fund in support of the poor and the trust of the elderly people for one’s political motives is an especially cynical method of the authorities in their struggle against the opposition movement in the Krasnodar Territory.
