On September 30 – October 1, Chairman of the Yabloko Party Nikolai Rybakov visited Oryol and Bryansk, where he delivered lectures for participants in the All-Russian Environmental Lawyer Competition and students studying environmental law at universities in three Russian cities.

The lectures were held at the Central Russian University of Management, Oryol, and Bryansk State University. The topic of the lecture was “The main environmental problems of Russia and public participation in the protection of the environmental rights of citizens: initiative groups, the media, and the Internet.”

In Bryansk, Nikolai Rybakov also met with Dmitry Makhotin, Chairman of the regional branch of the party. In Oryol, the head of Yabloko held a meeting with the regional activists of the party, where they discussed the upcoming reform of the party and preparations for the parliamentary elections in 2021.

In addition, Nikolay Rybakov visited the Ecocity waste sorting complex in Oryol and met with its chief technologist. Together with Sergei Zaitsev, head of the regional branch of Yabloko, Rybakov also toured the historical centre of Oryol and talked with party representatives about preservation od the city’s architectural and historical heritage.

During the visit, Nikolai Rybakov also gave an interview to the local newspaper Oryoltimes.

In Volgograd, the lecture of the head of Yabloko was canceled due to the unexpected introduction of quarantine restrictions at the university.
