Moscow YABLOKO commemorated victims of terror attack in Nice

Sergei Mitrokhin, Federal Political Committee member, Chair of the Moscow branch of YABLOKO, laid flowers to the Embassy of France and made an entry in the book of condolence.

“One must fight terrorism by joint actions on an international level. My thoughts are with the victims, their relatives and friends,” Sergei Mitrokhin said.
Answering to a journalists’ apprehension whether the terror attack in France may become the cause to take new measures against terrorism in Russia, Sergei Mitrokhin noted that it was possible.
“Yes, I won’t be surprised if our legislative and executive power representatives will invent something new, which, according to them, will protect our citizens form terrorism. But our laws against terrorism, which have been adopted within recent years, in reality only restrict the rights of ordinary people who are being persecuted by law enforcement without any reason,” Mitrokhin explained.
