Mass protests will be held in the Moscow region under the slogan #StopLandFills

On Saturday, 14 April 14, mass-scale protest actions will take place in the municipal entities of the Moscow region where the rights of citizens to environmentally safe and friendly environment are violated will take place at noon. The protests will be held under the slogan #StopLandFills. The initiator of the action is Nikolai Dizhur, Chairman of the Yabloko party faction in the Chekhov district.
A rally for the closure of the solid waste landfill Lesnaya will take place in the Serpukhov district. The action has got a permission from the authorities.
Lyubov Kopach, Yabloko deputy of the Chekhov district, filed a notice to the district administration about holding a rally against the construction of an incineration plant by the village of Maloye Ilinskoye.
About ten initiative groups have already joined the action. The initiative groups from Volokolamsk, Sergiev Posad, Kuchino, Klin, Dmitrov and Kolomna put forward different environmental requirements.
The active part of the residents of the Moscow region plans to send their thus their “birthday greetings” to Governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov, who turns 48 years old on 14 April, 2018.
Earlier, rallies with the requirements of closure of landfills were held in Klin, Kolomna, Volokolamsk, Dmitrov and Troitsk.
