Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Yabloko vouched for Vladislav Barabanov

The Nizhny Novgorod branch of Yabloko collects personal guarantees to change the measure of restraint to Vladislav Barabanov charged under the “Moscow riots” case.
Vladislav Barabanov is a resident of Nizhny Novgorod, together with Yabloko he was an organiser of protests in the city. On 27 July, he was detained in Moscow during an action in support of unregistered candidates for deputies of the Moscow City Duma. On 4 August, Barabanov was arrested on charges of involvement in the riots and placed in a pre-trial detention centre for two months.
The associates of Barabanov are asking the court to choose a preventive measure for him not related to imprisonment. In particular, Oleg Rodin, Chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the Yabloko party, Deputy Chairs of the party branch Alexei Sadomovsky and Marina Mayantseva, Nikolai Kavkazsky, a defendant and ex prisoner in the Bolotnaya Square riots case of May 6, 2012, and member of the Moscow Yabloko, vouched for him.

It should be noted that Yabloko’s Valery Kostenok, a 20-year-old student, is among the defendants in the so-called case on “riots” in Moscow on July 27.
