The Ministry of Justice added Ksenia Cherepanova, the Chairwoman of the Veliky Novgorod city branch of Yabloko, to the register of “foreign agents”. She became the eleventh party member to be added to the register.
“Ksenia is a professional economist, taught at Novgorod University, and prepared investment programmes for large companies. Now she heads the city branch of Yabloko in Veliky Novgorod, heads the Gender Faction in Novgorod Yabloko, heads the regional Yabloko’s Anti-Corruption Policies Centre and the Regional Centre for Human Rights. Ksenia is a Novgorodian of the fifth-generation of her family and a patriot of her country. Certainly, she is not a “foreign agent.” She does not agree with the actions of the authorities – and for this she received this stigma,” the leader of Yabloko Nikolai Rybakov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, eleven members of the party were included in the register of “foreign agents”, including three Deputy Chairmen of the party Lev Shlosberg, Boris Vishnevsky and Vladimir Dorokhov.
