Historical choice of police officers on anniversary of October coup?
Leader of the Russian democratic YABLOKO party Sergei Mitrokhin was brutally detained in Moscow on October 7, 2015. He was arrested during the action in memory of the officers and military cadets (junkers) who were killed when defending the democratic Russia in 1917.
“I was brutally detained by police officers when I was hanging a symbolic plate in memory of the junkers,” commented Sergei Mitrokhin on the situation.
According to YABLOKO, the party activists conducted an action in memory of the junkers and officers who had resisted the Bolsheviks in autumn 1917.
As part of action the activists place a temporary memorial plaque on the building were the head quarters of the defenders was situated, Znamenka Street, former Alexander military law academy,” runs BBC.
Sergei Mitrokhin was taken to the Arbat police department where police filed the protocol against him under the article of the Administrative Code “disobedience to the lawful demand of a police officer”.
