Grigory Grishin penalised under administrative law for a single picket against three-day voting

Grigory Grishin, a member of the Yabloko Party Bureau, was brought to administrative responsibility for picketing the Electoral Commission of the Saratov Region against the introduction of three-day voting in the by-elections held on September 13, 2020.
A month and a half after the picketing, Grigory Grishin was met by police officers at the entrance of his house early in the morning, the police handed him a summons to come up to the police station so that a protocol of administrative liability is drawn up for Grishin.
Yesterday, on October 26, 2020, the Kirovsky District Court of Saratov, agreed with the defence and reclassified the acts from Art. 20.2 of the Administrative Code (“Failure to comply with the requirements of the rules and regulations for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations” involving a fine from 1.000 to 30.000 roubles) on Art. 20.6.1 of the Administrative Code (“Failure to comply with the rules of conduct in an emergency or the threat of its occurrence” ), however, the court did not terminate the proceedings and imposed an administrative penalty. This decision will be appealed in a court of a higher instance.
