Ex head of Committee against Torture elected Chair of Orenburg YABLOKO

Ex leader of the regional branch of the Committee against Torture Vechyaslav Dudin was elected Chair of the Orenburg Region branch of YABLOKO [the region in southern Russia, the Urals].
The party meeting took place on 9 April. For the last two years the local party branch had not been very active. The new Chair is planning to restore the activity and prepare for the State Duma elections. At the moment the local party branch has over 100 members.
“As for YABLOKO in the Orenburg Region, we are planning to restore the activity to provide a platform for all YABLOKO’s supporters to participate in elections and politics,” the new leader said.
