Boris Vishnevsky: St. Petersburg Governor answered only to one question out of ten in his report
Press release, 12.05.2017
Head of Yabloko’s faction in St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly Boris Vishnevsky criticized the annual report of St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko to the deputies of the city parliament.
According to Vishnevsky, the Governor did not actually answer to the questions, which Yabloko’s faction forwarded him beforehand.
“We forwarded ten questions to the Governor. He answered only to one question concerning [the construction of] the Zenit football stadium, and his answer was absolutely improper. The city government did nothing to tackle the full-blown financial violations, which took place during the construction of the stadium,” Vishnevsky noted.
The deputy also said that Poltavchenko had ignored the questions concerning the referenda against the transferring St. Isaac’s Cathedral to the gratis use of the Russian Orthodox Church and naming one of the city bridges after former Chechen President Akhmat Kadyrov, about the eviction of European University in St. Petersburg and other question.
“Our faction has an impression that we and St. Petersburg Governor live in different cities,” Vishnevsky commented.
