Today, the electoral commission of the Rostov region registered a member of the Federal Bureau of Yabloko, entrepreneur Alexander Yefimov, as a candidate in the by-elections to the State Duma. The Southern single-mandate electoral district No. 152, in which Yefimov is running, includes the Aksai district and the city of Novocherkassk. Yefimov is leading an election campaign under the slogan “For Peace and Freedom! For the Ceasefire Agreement!”.
Commentary by Alexander Yefimov:
In the context of the militarisation of the country, ongoing violence and killing of people, and the persecution of the political opposition, elections remain one of the few tools through which citizens can express their position. The Yabloko programme offers the country a peaceful life, confidence in the future, human dignity, solidarity, freedom of expression and creativity, and this is what meets the most important aspirations of Russians.
The main slogan of my campaign is “For Peace and Freedom!”, and, therefore, I am confident in the support of voters.
