In October and early November, Yabloko invites everyone to take part in its actions of writing letters to political prisoners, which are traditionally held in different cities across Russia. Anyone can come and write a letter or sign a postcard for a person deprived of their liberty for their beliefs, that is, for political reasons.
We correspond with political prisoners who have been deprived of their liberty in connection with their political beliefs, statements, or peaceful public, journalistic, creative, human rights or political activities, provided they have neither committed violent crimes nor called for them.
These instructions (https://www.yabloko.ru/pisma-politzekam ) will help you send a few words to those who need support. At Yabloko’s central office in Moscow (Pyatnitskaya 31, building 2), postcards and a letter box are on the ground floor and are available to everyone during office hours. To pick up a postcard at your regional branch or to find out the date of the next action in support of political prisoners, please contact us.
The actions will be held in Yabloko’s regional branches all over Russia from 25 October through to 7 November. The addresses of our regional branches and dates are published here (https://www.yabloko.ru/cat-news/2026/10/19 ) and will be updated.
