At the drawing of lots held today, 5 August, at the Central Electoral Commission of Russia, party Chairman Nikolai Rybakov drew ball number 2. Yabloko will appear under this number on the ballot paper for the election of deputies to the 9th convocation of the State Duma.

Nikolai Rybakov came up to the podium as the ninth representative of a political party (11 parties in total will appear on the ballot paper), in accordance with the order in which party lists were registered with the Central Electoral Commission of Russia.

“I drew exactly the number I wanted, because the choice for citizens is either United Russia (which drew No. 1 — Ed.) or Yabloko,” said Nikolai Rybakov. “Now we know that citizens have the opportunity to vote for peace and freedom — for people’s lives.”

It should be noted that Yabloko has taken part in every State Duma election since 1993 and is the only democratic, peace-building party standing in the 2026 election.

In 2026, the party’s election platform consists of just 43 words — the shortest platform in Yabloko’s history:
