On Thursday, 9 July, Novgorod Yabloko submitted documents to the Novgorod Region Electoral Commission for participation in the elections to the Novgorod Regional Duma. A total of 626 sheets we information on the candidates required by the electoral commission had been prepared, the regional branch of the party reports.

Yabloko was the third party to submit documents to the Novgorod Region Electoral Commission, after United Russia and the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. The process of submitting the documents to the Electoral Commission took more than five hours. Commission members raised no questions regarding Yabloko’s candidate documents.

On Saturday, 11 July, the Novgorod Region Electoral Commission will consider the certification of Yabloko’s lists.

It should be noted that on 4 July, Novgorod Yabloko held its regional branch conference and nominated its list of candidates for the Novgorod Regional Duma in the forthcoming elections. Delegates unanimously voted to include 19 candidates on the regional list, with a further 13 nominated for single-mandate constituencies. The list of candidates was headed by Anna Cherepanova, Deputy Chairwoman of Yabloko.
