Yabloko to nominate candidates for the State Duma and regional legislative assemblies at its congress on 27 June

Yabloko’s pre-election congress will be held in Moscow on 27 June. Delegates from across Russia will gather to nominate candidates for the State Duma and a number of regional legislative assemblies.
The congress will begin at 10:00 (Moscow time). It will open with speeches by the party’s leaders: Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov and Federal Political Committee Chairman Grigory Yavlinsky. This part of the congress will be open to journalists and will also be streamed on the party’s website.
The procedure for nominating candidates and voting on their inclusion in the lists will take place behind closed doors. It is expected to conclude late in the evening.
Once the voting has concluded, the broadcast will resume for the announcement of the congress results. The fully approved candidate lists will be published on Yabloko’s website on 28 June.
