Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov on the recognition of Boris Vishnevsky’s book as “extremist”

The Yabloko party regards the decision made today by St Petersburg City Court regarding the collection of articles by party Deputy Chairman Boris Vishnevsky, published in 2015, as not based on Russian law.
During the court hearing, experts engaged by the public prosecutor’s office could not answer lawyers’ questions about their examination and qualifications. The lawyers presented to the court an alternative conclusion by a professional specialist completely refuting the findings of the “examination” commissioned by the public prosecutor’s office.
The court’s decision will be appealed.
