Yabloko continues its monthly campaigns in Moscow and regional offices to support political prisoners

“Dear friends and colleagues, St. Petersburg Yabloko members! Thank you for the long letter and postcards with words of support and caring. Touched,” imprisoned historian and head of the Karelian Memorial Yuri Dmitriyev wrote in a response to the St. Petersburg Yabloko. Yuri Dmitriyev is sentenced to 15 years in prison and in dire need of letters from freedom.
Yabloko also publishes addresses so that to send letters to imprisoned Yabloko members: Vladimir Yefimov, head of Kamchtaka Yabloko and journalist, Michail Afanasyev, journalist from Khakassia, Vasily Neustrtoyev, historian from St.Petersburg, and Konstantin Smirnov, journalist and municipal deputy from Ryazan. One can also write words of support through the form made by Pskov Yabloko to the family of arrested Lev Shlosberg, Yabloko Deputy Chairman.
Anyone can take part in the actions of writing letters to political prisoners. Those unable to come to the party offices, can send letters to political prisoners independently using our instruction.
The actions will be held in Yabloko’s regional branches all over Russia from 21 August through to 6 September. The list of the regional branches, addresses and dates are published here.
