Novgorod Yabloko has nominated 12 candidates for Peace and Freedom in municipal elections

The conference of Novgorod Yabloko has nominated 12 candidates to run in local elections in four districts of the region. The electoral campaign in the region will be conducted under the party-wide slogan “For Peace and Freedom! For the Ceasefire Agreement!”.
Earlier, the regional branch of the party nominated Viktor Shalyakin as a candidate for Governor of the Novgorod region. For registration, the candidate must overcome the so-called municipal filter, i.e. collection of signatures from municipal deputies (most of whom represent pro-government political parties) in favour of his registration in the race.
Novgorod Yabloko counts on the support of regional residents and invites all its supporters to join the team of campaigners and observers.
Elections in the Novgorod region will take place on a single voting day, 14 September.
