Ivan Bolshakov will represent Yabloko in the Central Electoral Commission

Yabloko will be represented at the meetings of the Central Electoral Commission of the Russian Federation by Ivan Bolshakov, head of the Yabloko Analytical Centre and a member of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko.
This decision was made by the Yabloko Party Bureau on 26 December, 2024, but only today was Bolshakov introduced to the commission members at the Central Electoral Commission meeting.
Previously, the representative of Yabloko in the Central Electoral Commission was Vladimir Dorokhov, Deputy Chairman of Yabloko and head of its Tula branch, but his powers were terminated early due to the fact that the Ministry of Justice included him in the register of “foreign agents” in September 2024.
Ivan Bolshakov is a political scientist and a member of the Russian Association of Political Science. Member of the party since 2002. Deputy Chairman of the party in 2019-2023. Since 2003, he has been participating in elections in various capacities: candidate, observer, member of the territorial electoral commission with the right to vote, authorised representative, and political director of election campaigns.
According to the Central Electoral Commission regulations, a party representative has the right to speak and ask questions at meetings, and to familiarise himself with documents and materials of the Central Electoral Commission and lower-level commissions at meetings.
