There is a continuous flow of information from Transcaucasia about the ongoing tragedy. It is not possible to really comprehend what is happening while in Moscow. But some painful conclusions can be drawn.
Ethnic cleansing of local Armenians is taking place in Nagorno-Karabakh.
The international community demonstrates that some of its representatives show a conscious, criminal indifference to human life and the right of an ordinary person to remain safe and live on their own land, while others display an ugly helplessness associated with incorrect prioritisation in the past and the fear of losing benefits at the present moment.
This real tragedy is happening now and it is an extremely alarming precedent for the future. The leading centres of global political influence have once again proven incapable of responsible, professional and thoughtful political action in the interests of ordinary people who have become hostages of a terrible disaster. This applies to Moscow, Washington, Brussels, and Ankara.
