The Novgorod branch of Yabloko will take part in the elections of deputies of the Duma of Novgorod and the Council of Staraya Russa

On 8 July, the Novgorod branch of Yabloko nominated three lists of candidates for elections in the region: for the Duma of Novgorod in a single electoral district and in single-member districts, as well as for the Council of Deputies of Staraya Russa.
There are 25 candidates on the party list of Yabloko for the Duma of Novgorod, and 16 in single-mandate districts. Among the candidates there are two current municipal deputies, a doctor of science, three candidates of science, young and experienced politicians. The party list includes 15 members of the Yabloko party and seven candidates for party membership.
Yabloko candidates will participate in election campaigns with the programme “FOR Peace and FOR Life!”.
The Chair of the Novgorod Yabloko, Anna Cherepanova, notes that there are no laymen on the list.
“All candidates share the values of Yabloko, all support the party’s peaceful initiatives. In these elections, the main thing for us is peace, life and the future, a person, human rights and freedoms. We will promote the value of independent local self-government, when problems are solved on the ground by people and local self-government bodies in the interests of the people, and not dictated from above,” Anna Cherepanova said.
