The conference of the Pskov branch of Yabloko nominated 55 candidates for deputies in the elections to representative bodies of local self-government scheduled for 2023, including 41 candidates on party lists and 14 candidates in single-mandate constituencies.

The Pskov Yabloko formed party lists and nominated single-mandate districts in all the eight newly formed municipal districts, as well as candidates for deputies in by-elections in two municipal districts.

The lists are topped by the following candidates:

Yulia Belyaeva and Andrei Vikhman – in the Nevelsky district;

Sofia Pugacheva and Nikolai Barkhatov – in the Novorzhevsky district;

Arthur Gaiduk and Lyubov Gerasimova – in the Strugokrasnensky district;

Alexei Tikka and Maria Skorodumova – in the Loknyansky district;

Maxim Lastovka and Natalia Sergeyeva – in the Krasnogorodsk distrcit;

Arthur Gaiduk and Dmitry Shemetov – in the Pytalovsky district;

Konstantin Alexandrov and Oleg Arsenyev – in the Pechorsky region;

Sergei Kucherenko and Gennady Kolesnik – in the Opochetsky district.

The lists include new candidates and current deputies from Yabloko Yulia Belyaeva (Assembly of the Urban Settlement of Nevel), Andrei Vikhman (Assembly of the Nevelsky District), Maxim Lastovka (Assembly of the Krasnogodsky District), Gennady Kolesnik (Assembly of the Urban Settlement of Opochka), Nikolai Barkhatov (Assembly of the Novorzhevsky District), Lyudmila Tupitsina (Assembly of the Pushkinogosky District) and Alexander Konashenkov (Assembly of the Gdovsky District).

Commenting on the results of the nomination, the Chairman of the Pskov Yabloko, Artur Gaiduk, said: “We reaffirmed the absolute importance of participating in elections wherever there is such an opportunity. Local self-government in the Pskov region, as well as throughout the country, is in a bad condition, the rights and freedoms of residents are violated everywhere. Yabloko is the only party that consistently opposes the destructive policies of the authorities towards local self-government. Supporters of the Pskov Yabloko will have the opportunity to vote for their representatives where elections are scheduled.”
