On 25 and 27 December, the Yabloko party will host a New Year’s party in its Moscow office for 250 children – Ukrainian refugees who are under care of the Civic Assistance Committee and the Lighthouse Charity Foundation helping refugees. Yabloko has prepared an extensive festive programme, master classes, a photo zone, gifts, contests and much more for children.
Thanks to donations from Yabloko supporters, Yabloko can make Christmas gifts for children, decorate Christmas trees and the premises, and purchase materials for contests and festive master classes for children.
“All these months, Yabloko has been supporting refugees who came to Russia from the territory of Ukraine – innocent people who have become victims of the insane conflict. We simply have to show solidarity and complicity, try to give kids some goodness and light in the New Year,” Nikolai Rybakov, Yabloko Chairman, said.
Yabloko says that any Russian citizen can contribute to the organization of a New Year’s holiday for children who have witnessed terrible events. For complete transparency, the head of Yabloko opened a separate account for donations. The financial report will be published on the Yabloko website.
“While some people cultivate hatred and make nations quarrel, we will give joy to children and hope for peace! Join us,” Nikolai Rybakov added.
