A criminal case on “discrediting the army” was initiated against Anatoly Nogovitsyn, Chairman of the Yabloko branch in Yakutia. The reason was a post on Anatoly Nogovitsyn’s Telegram channel about the announced mobilisation. As a measure of restraint, the court chose a written undertaking for Nogovitsyn not to leave the place.
This is reported by the ASTRA media. We have not yet been able to contact Anatoly or his family to confirm this information.
Nagovitsin became the third Yabloko member to be prosecuted after 24 February. Earlier, Vladimir Yefimov, Chairman of the Kamchatka branch of Yabloko, was brought to criminal responsibility under the same article. Yefimov was forbidden to use means of communication.
Before that, a criminal case under the article on the dissemination of fakes about the “special military operation” using the official post was initiated against Mikhail Afanasyev, a member of the Yabloko party from Abakan and editor-in-chief of the Novy Focus media. He has been in jail since April.
In April 2022, Anatoly Nogovitsyn was fined 30,000 roubles under an administrative article on “discrediting the army” for reposting a link to a video commentary by Novaya Gazeta journalist Yelena Kostyuchenko about what was happening in Ukraine.
