On 19 November, the Yabloko Federal Bureau appointed re-registration of party members.

The re-registration is connected with the reform of the party, announced by the Yabloko party congress on 3-4 April 2021. Then the congress adopted amendments to the Yabloko by-laws, increasing the influence of party members and supporters on the decision-making process in Yabloko, while enhancing the party discipline.

The Federal Political Committee of Yabloko has established that re-registration will take place after federal and regional elections of September 17-19.

In a number of regions, re-registration has already taken place (Karelia and Yakutia) or is now underway (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Chelyabinsk and Yaroslavl regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory), the decision on re-registration will not apply to them. Re-registration will be carried out by the regional branches or with the involvement of the party’s governing bodies.

A party member is offered to independently choose his/her status during the re-registration: to register in the party and also at the branch at the place of residence so that to work actively, or not to register at the place of residence as an active party member, but simply register in a party.

Registered party members will have the right to vote in decision-making and will be able to be elected to governing bodies. Unregistered party members will not have such rights.

It is planned that the re-registration should be completed before the party congress, which will be held in late December.
