After Sergei Mitrokhin’s application to Public Prosecutor large families in the Kostroma region will get plots of land free of charge
Press Release, December 13, 2013
Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Kostroma region together with the regional administration will prepare a joint initiative to amend the legislation in respect of the provision of free plots of land to large families. At present citizens who have three or more children are required to pay for the works connected with formation of such plots, which is in conflict with the federal law.
The new law will be developed and submitted to the legislator at the request of YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin. Mitrokhin pointed out on the blatant contradiction of the regional law “On free transfer of plots of land in ownership to certain categories of citizens” to the federal laws.
YABLOKO sent applications to public prosecutors of 16 Russian regions on the violation of the federal law in transfer of plots of land into ownership. Yet, in addition to the Kostroma region, changes were made to the legislation of the Republic of Altai.
