On 15 September 15, Yabloko will launch its anti-corruption programme “A State Free from Corruption”. The event will start at 12:00.
The programme includes 100 detailed solutions to tackle corruption in Russia. The programme will be presented by Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov.
The programme is based on the thesis that corruption should be viewed as a violation of human rights. To overcome corruption in Russia, it is necessary to transfer to citizens the tools of managing power and the formation of an institution of good governance.
“Everyone has a natural right to demand from public servants due diligence and quality work in their posts,” the programme runs.
The programme includes four blocks of solutions for building effective institutions in Russia: the formation of a system of checks and balances, the broad involvement of citizens in combating corruption, guarantees of the safety of journalists and freedom of speech, and the redirection of and control over financial flows.
All decisions in the programme are extremely specific, 80% of the measures can be implemented at the level of federal laws, the text runs.
The programme was developed by the Yabloko Anti-Corruption Policy Centre. Yabloko leaders will tell at the presentation in more detail about the proposed measures against corruption and how the party plans to implement the programme.
The presentation will take place at the Radisson Hotel (Belorusskaya metro station), 3rd street of Yamskogo Pole 26A, the Schubert Hall.
