The Central Electoral Commission registered the first ten authorised campaigners of the Yabloko party in the elections to the State Duma. Among them are Yabloko Deputy Chairmen Ivan Bolshakov and Sergei Ivanenko, as well as members of the Federal Political Committee of the party Grigory Yavlinsky, Alexei Arbatov, Yelena Dubrovina and Viktor Sheinis.

The full list of registered Yabloko campaigners is as follows:

– Alexei Arbatov, Head of the Centre for International Security of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Full Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

– Ivan Bolshakov, Deputy Chairman of Yabloko and head of the Yabloko party’s analytical department.

– Valery Goryachev, Executive Secretary of the Yabloko Bureau, head of the Yabloko Party Central Office, lawyer.

– Yelena Dubrovina, Head of the Centre for Legislative Initiatives of the Yabloko Party, member of the Federal Political Committee, Honoured Lawyer of Russia, Candidate of Juridical Sciences.

Sergei Ivanenko, Deputy Chairman of Yabloko, member of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko, Candidate of Economic Sciences.

Vyacheslav Igrunov, Director of the International Institute for Humanitarian and Political Research, a Yabloko party member.

Anatoly Sidakov, Chairman of the North Ossetian branch of Yabloko, Editor-in-Chief of the Mir Kavkazu newspaper, human rights defender.

Olga Tsepilova, Chair of Yabloko’s Green Russia faction, member of the Federal Bureau of Yabloko, senior researcher at the Sociological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Sociological Sciences.

Viktor Sheinis, member of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko, Chief Researcher of the Institute of World Economy and International Relations of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Economics.

Grigory Yavlinsky, Chairman of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko, Professor at the Higher School of Economics, Doctor of Economics.

At the same time, the Central Electoral Commission refused to register Yevgeny Bunimovich, a member of the Yabloko Federal Political Committee and Chairman of the Moscow City Duma Education Commission, as an authorised Yabloko campaigner, since he is a civil servant.

It should be noted that in these elections the Yabloko party nominated the youngest list of candidates in its history. The average age of candidates is about 40 years. For this reason, many of the founders and leaders of the party, representatives of the older generation, stepped down as candidates in the elections.
