Yabloko candidate to the State Duma Anatoly Nogovitsyn notified of his involvement in the activities of an “extremist organisation”

The Central Electoral Commission of Yakutia informed Anatoly Nogovitsyn, Yabloko candidate for the State Duma elections in single-mandate constituency No. 24 and the leader of the regional branch of Yabloko in Yakutia, that the Ministry of Justice received information about his involvement in the activities of the “extremist organisation”.
“The Commission will carry out all the necessary set of measures to verify this information, and a decision, on the results of the check, will be made in accordance with the current legislation,” the official statement of the Central Electoral Commission of Yakutia runs.
According to Anatoly Nogovitsyn, who is awaiting official notification from the electoral commission, they may try to remove him from the elections.
“In Yakutia, the only real opposition is Yabloko, so many protest-minded residents of the Republic would support me in the elections. The candidate from the authorities Fedot Tumusov has a very low rating, so the authorities, apparently, decided to remove me from the elections,” Anatoly Nogovitsyn said.
It should be noted that the Moscow City Court made a decision to cancel the registration of Lev Shlosberg as a candidate for State Duma in a single-mandate constituency on the administrative claim of Andrei Pangayev, a candidate for State Duma deputy in single-mandate constituency No. 207 from the Green Party.
On August 6, an administrative protocol was drawn up against Alexander Korovainy, a candidate for State Duma from Yabloko, for his deleted video in support of Alexei Navalny.
Viktor Rau, Yabloko’s candidate to the State Duma in the Altai Territory, was removed from the elections for his participation in the January rallies.
On August 13, the public prosecutor’s office of the Vakhitovsky district of Kazan also appealed to the court with a demand to recognise the chairman of the Tatarstan Yabloko, the leader of the regional party list in the elections to the State Duma, as well as the candidate in single-mandate constituency No. 31 Ruslan Zinatullin, involved in the extremist organization Navalny Headquarters, court session scheduled for 20 August.
On 13 August, the court in Kazan recognised Yelena Izotova, Yabloko candidate for the State Duma, involved in the “extremist” organization and now she faces removal from elections.
