The congress of the Yabloko party, which has to discuss the reform of the Yabloko party and is scheduled for April 3-4, will be held in strict compliance with the recommendations of the Russian Federal State Agency for Health and Consumer Rights (Rospotrebnadzor) in order to minimise the risks of infection with COVID-19.
The party abandoned the traditional venue for its congresses in the outskirts of Moscow in favour of a large hall in a Moscow hotel. The new hall allows for a safe distance between the congress delegates.
Party staff were advised in advance to get vaccinated. On the eve of the congress, the delegates of the congress have passed tests for COVID-19.
Although the congress is not held behind closed doors, it was decided not to invite guests and journalists as usual. They will be able to watch the meeting live on the party’s Youtube channel.
Temperature will be measured before entering the conference room. All of the delegates will receive protective masks, disposable gloves and individual sanitisers. Sanitisers will also be installed in the conference room and in the foyer.
“We are aware that the situation with the coronavirus in our country, and especially in Moscow, continues to remain tense, so we made every effort to eliminate the risk of infection for the congress participants. The life and health of people is the main priority for us,” Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov said.
