“We are steadily moving forward,” Lev Shlosberg on the work of the Pskov branch of Yabloko

The Pskov regional branch of the Yabloko party held the fourth stage of its 23rd conference. The delegates elected new governing bodies of the branch, respecting social distancing and fulfilling the requirements of the federal law.

On 18 April, members of the Pskov branch of Yabloko met at the party’s office for another stage of their reporting and election conference. Party members came from different regions of the Pskov region to jointly elect the bodies of their regional branch: the term of office of the elected bodies of the regional branch of the party is limited to two years.
Lev Shlosberg, MP of the Pskov Regional Assembly, was elected Chairman of the regional branch for another two years. Four party leaders became his deputies: Svetlana Vasilkova, head of the Pustoshkinsky district, Sofia Pugacheva, head of the Novorzhevsky district, Alexander Konashenkov, deputy of the Gdov district, head of the Prometey farm and doctor of agricultural sciences, and Dmitry Permyakov, deputy of the Pskov City Duma.
Sofia Pugacheva was elected member of the Federal Council of the Yabloko party from the Pskov region.
Arthur Gaiduk, MP of the Pskov Regional Assembly and doctor of the Pskov ambulance station, was elected member of the Bureau of the Regional Council of the Pskov branch.
The composition of the Regional Council has been expanded to 17 people. All seven local inter-municipal branches of the party are represented in it. Six out of nine members of the Bureau, and ten out of 17 members of the Regional Council, are elected public leaders vested with the trust of citizens, including Lyubov Zhiltsova (deputy of the Palkinsky district), Lyubov Gerasimova (deputy of the Plus region), Andrey Knyazev (deputy of the Usvyatsky district) and Alexei Tikka (deputy of Loknyansky district).
“This was the first full-time, albeit short, meeting of the Pskov Yabloko team for more than a month of severe restrictions in communication [due to COVID-19]. We checked our political compass. All are here and work. We are steadily moving forward. The previous intra-party discussion affected the nominations and was so high-quality that the secret ballot voting at the conference ended unanimously,” that is how Lev Shlosberg commented on the results of the conference.
