Grigory Yavlinsky: “Putinism” means lies, war and corruption

Question: What is “Putinism” and is it true that it is such a “political life hack”, as they write about it now?
Grigory Yavlinsky: “Putinism” means contempt for a person and his/her dignity, suppression of freedom, instilling fear, corruption, ignoring international law and increasing confrontation with developed countries of the world.
The political system of “Putinism” is personal devotion and authoritarianism, taken to extremes.
“Putinism” is devoid of any idea of the future. This is a tactical construction aimed at building a mafia state.
The daily practice of “Putinism” means lies, reprisals, war and corruption.
In contrast to, for example, Marxism or even Leninism, “Putinism” does not have any philosophy behind it, any political theory or ideology. But it has a goal, the only goal which is reduced to personal irremovability in power. And there is only one principle: the end justifies the means.
A “political lifehack” is a tricky trick that allows one to gain and hold power. In Russia, political life hacking implies large-scale unlawful manipulation, ensuring the irremovability of the ruling group for an unlimited period, and also securing the merger of power and property.
“Putinism” is a political life hack for kakocrats. Kakocracy means the power of the worst. “Putinism” is a conscious and deliberate negative selection of personnel, bringing the worst to power and providing them unlimited enrichment in exchange for the loyalty.
“Life hack” has one more meaning. A hacker in modern language is a cracker and a thief. Therefore, “Putinism” as a life hack is a treacherous forceful invasion of life and a thieves’ seizure of freedom, opportunities and creativity among millions of modern people in Russia.
Therefore, “Putinism” is a stolen normal life. And all the fuss about the discussion of “Putinism” is an attempt to impose trolling, and thus start the 2024 [presidential] election campaign.
Do not feed the trolls! There is nothing to discuss about “Putinism”, it must be completely changed. To paraphrase a famous joke, I would like to say: only narrow-minded people can discuss “Putinism” – everything is so clear.
