Municipal deputies protest against taking solid municipal waste from Moscow to other regions

On 12th December, Moscow municipal deputies will bring an open letter to the Presidential Administration stating their disagreement with the policy of taking solid municipal waste from Moscow to other regions of Russia. They also suggest intruding modern recycling technology.
The collection of signatures in support of the initiative began on 30th November. About 150 municipal deputies have already supported it.
Yabloko’s deputies Elena Filina and Yekaterina Silayeva initiated the campaign. The majority of municipal deputies who signed the letter are also Yabloko’s representatives.
A delegation of municipal deputies will come to the Presidential Administration at 12:45.
The letter will be forwarded to the following individuals and governmental bodies as well:
Mikail Fedotov, Chairman of the Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights
Dmitry Kobylkin, Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology
Sergei Sobyanin, Moscow Mayor
Regional Governors
MPs of legislative bodies in all constituent territory of the RF
Heads of municipal entities in all constituent territory of the RF
MPs of local representative bodies of the RF
