A book in memory of environmentalist Alexei Yablokov to be launched in Moscow

On 27 October, a launching conference of a book “Yablokov’s Orchard. Memories. Reflections. Expectations” will take place in Moscow. The book is dedicated to Alexei Yablokov, a prominent scientist, environmentalist and a political figure. The Chair of Yabloko’s Green Russia faction passed away in January 2017. He would have turned 85 in October 2018.
The book draws a portrait of a person who managed to do a lot for the protection of people, environment and the country in general. It contains short stories and essays by a hundred authors. The book is of interest from the point of view of the content and design. It consists of 512 pages and includes some photographs and archive documents.
The launching conference begins at 15:00. Address: Biblio-Globus book Shop, 6/3 Ulitsa Myasnitskaya, building 1, room No 3. Underground stations: Lubyanka, Kuznetsky Most, Kitai Gorod.
