Grigory Yavlinsky on jury’s verdict on Boris Nemtsov assassination case
29.06.2017
The legal proceedings on the Boris Nemtsov assassination case are not to be trusted and the decision, which has been made, leaves too many doubts and questions.
The trial did not show enough transparency.
We did not get the answers to many questions concerning the specific circumstances of the assassination.
Some members of the criminal group are still unknown.
The most important questions concerning the motives of the murder were carefully avoided during the trial.
We still have not learned who initiated the crime, for whose benefit it was committed.
Taking into consideration the number of questions which are left without answers the society may disagree that justice was obtained and that the case can be closed.
The decision which has been made today lacks persuasiveness and shows too evident a wish to close the case officially.
