YABLOKO withdrawn from the election to the Petrozavodsk City Council
Petrozavodsk City Court satisfied the claim from the Rodina party on withdrawal of the YABLOKO party list of candidates from the election to the Petrozovodsk City Council.

Such a decision has been taken by Judge Natalia Tarabrina today.
It has been reported earlier that Nikolay Tarakanov, leader of the Rodina (“Motherland”) party in Karelia, pointed out in his claim that YABLOKO election headquarters had not fulfilled a number of mandatory standards in the registration of documents of candidates for the City Council of Petrozavodsk [the capital city of the Republic of Karelia]. Proceeding from his he asked to deprive the entire party list of registration in the election.
“The court claim of the Karelian branch of the Rodina party is satisfied,” a representative of the court commented [for the paper].
It should be noted that the representative of the Public Prosecution also asked the court to satisfy the claim of Rodina.
The Karelian YABLOKO will appeal the decision to a higher court.
Earlier, the Election Commission of Petrozavodsk has registered the YABLOKO party list of candidates consisting of 39 people in the election to the Petrozavodsk City Council. The list was topped by Galina Shirshina, ex Mayor of Petrozavodsk and Adviser to the YABLOKO Chairperson.
