Yabloko representatives in the Leningrad Region and Yekaterinburg submit candidates’ documents to the regional Electoral Commissions for the Legislative Assemblies

On Tuesday, 21 July, Yabloko representatives in the Leningrad Region and Yekaterinburg submitted candidates’ documents for the regional parliaments to the regional Electoral Commissions. It should be noted that the party has put forward candidates for Legislative Assembly elections in 12 regions in total. The party’s Congress at the end of June put forward, among others, the candidate lists for the Legislative Assemblies of the Sverdlovsk and Leningrad Regions.
In the Leningrad Region, Yabloko’s candidate list for the Legislative Assembly was headed by Grigory Grishin. He is 45, a Candidate of Philological Sciences, a teacher of Russian language and literature, a documentary filmmaker, and a party member.
A further 19 candidates were nominated as part of 19 regional groups.
Alongside Grigory Grishin, the documents were submitted to the region’s Electoral Commission by Anatoly Golov, Chairman of the regional branch and member of Yabloko’s Federal Bureau, and Olga Pokrovskaya, the party’s authorised representative, Chair of the Party Arbitration Board and member of the Bureau of the St. Petersburg regional branch.

In the Sverdlovsk Region, it should be noted, the region-wide part of the list is headed by:
Konstantin Kiselyov, 63, lawyer and deputy of the Yekaterinburg City Duma from Yabloko;
Tatyana Gorshkaleva, 69, engineer and member of Yabloko’s Federal Council;
Alexei Kholodaryov, 50, expert in IT and business automation and deputy of the 7th convocation of the Yekaterinburg City Duma (2018–2023).
A further 68 candidates were nominated as part of 25 regional groups, with 23 candidates standing in single-mandate constituencies.
On 21 July, the documents were submitted to the Electoral Commission by party representatives Leonid Buiny, candidate for the Sverdlovsk Region Legislative Assembly, and Yaroslav Shcherbakov, Chairman of Chelyabinsk Yabloko and head of the party’s federal list for the State Duma elections.

It should be noted that Yabloko representatives in St. Petersburg, the Moscow, Kaliningrad, Novgorod and Pskov Regions, and the Republic of Karelia have already submitted their candidate lists for regional parliaments. In Karelia the candidate list has already been registered for participation in the forthcoming elections.
