15 October marks the 70th birthday of Yabloko party Deputy Chairman Boris Lazarevich Vishnevsky. Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov and Federal Political Committee Chairman Grigory Yavlinsky congratulate him on this anniversary.

Dear Boris Lazarevich,

On behalf of the entire Yabloko party and personally, I warmly congratulate you on your significant anniversary — your 70th birthday!

You are a person who has dedicated his life to serving people, defending democratic ideals and human rights.
Without any doubt, you are a bright, exceptional and courageous politician. St.Petersburg residents for many years sincerely placed their trust in you, which you honourably justified. Through your honest and selfless work, you have earned their loyalty and respect for many years — not every politician can boast of this.

Your active civic position, your tireless work in the Legislative Assembly of St.Petersburg, and your brilliant journalism — all of this serves as an example of steadfastness and true devotion to Russia, which we want to see free, just and European.

But you are such a special Person that the respect for you and joy from communicating with you only increase. And the trials we are now going though clarify much about people — only the truly Wise and Brave remain in genuine politics.

You are precisely such a person. We are confident that your heart, your integrity, conviction in our political righteousness, your passionate, truthful, and honest word addressed to our people, voters, supporters, and your readers, stands against destruction, darkness and malice.

Your political experience is important and valuable both for Yabloko and for St.Petersburg residents, who for decades have seen in your work opening the way to true freedom, democracy and a normal life.
