The Murmansk branch of Yabloko has nominated candidates for Peace and Freedom to run for the municipal Council of the Kolsky District

Yabloko candidates in single-mandate constituencies Irina Komleva (constituency No. 13), Vyacheslav Polezhaev (constituency No. 19) and Igor Khomechko (constituency No. 20) are standing for election to the first convocation of the Council of Deputies of the Kolsky Municipal District of the Murmansk region. The new council of deputies was formed after the municipal reform. The Yabloko candidates’ campaign will be conducted under the party-wide slogan “For Peace and Freedom! For the Ceasefire Agreement!”.
The candidate in constituency No. 13 is animal rights activist Irina Komleva. She was born in the settlement of Nikel in Murmansk region and graduated from St Petersburg Economics College with the degree in law. She is engaged in public work in the field of animal rights, assists state supervisory bodies in identifying violations, and helps citizens.
The Yabloko candidate in constituency No. 19 is Vyacheslav Polezhaev. He was born in Murmansk and graduated from Murmansk State Technical University with a degree in management. He works as deputy director in a company providing passenger and freight transport services. He is involved in social transport services for citizens with disabilities and elderly pensioners. He made proposals for improving traffic organisation and city improvement. He participated in the actions against pension reform.
The candidate in constituency No. 20 is history teacher Igor Khomechko. He was born in the Moldovan SSR. He graduated from the Russian State University for the Humanities with a degree in philosophy, the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences of Moldova with a degree in history, the Moscow Institute of Professional Retraining and Advanced Training of Teachers with qualification “Head of Educational Institution”, and the Academy of Management and Production with the degree Bachelor of Law. He works at a school.
Elections in the Murmansk region will take place on 14 September.
