Yabloko has nominated teams of candidates to conduct electoral campaigns in two cities of the Rostov-on-Don region: Rostov-on-Don and Shakhty. To register its candidates in the Rostov-on-Don City Duma elections, the Yabloko team consisting of 13 candidates, must provide 4,500 signatures from city residents to the electoral commission by 1 August. Candidates for Peace and Freedom in the Shakhty City Duma elections must also provide signatures – about 40 signatures for each candidate. Elections in both cities will take place on the single voting day – 14 September.

The general municipal part of the Yabloko list of candidates for the Rostov-on-Don City Duma elections includes Daniil Bondarenko, Chairman of the local party branch in Rostov-on-Don and law student. Also the team of Yabloko candidates in Rostov-on-Don includes six territorial groups with two Yabloko candidates in each.

In Shakhty the Yabloko team will also conduct a campaign under the slogan “For Peace and Freedom!”. Daniil Bondarenko (constituency No. 1), Dmitry Groo (constituency No. 2), Alexei Bukov (constituency No. 8), Ilya Cheremisov (constituency No. 12), Nikita Demin (constituency No. 13), and Vitaly Fomin (constituency No. 24) will, whilst collecting signatures in support of their nominations, speak with Shakhty residents about the most important thing our country needs now – the immediate conclusion of a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

The Yabloko team in the Rostov-on-Don region counts on the help of its supporters and calls residents of the region to sign for Yabloko candidates, become a signature collector or help in the campaigns.
