Yabloko in Bashkortostan nominated a candidate for the by-election to the Agidel City Council

Alexei Akimenko, Yabloko member and a former Agidel City Council deputy, was elected as a candidate for single-mandate constituency No. 8 in the by-election to the City Council of the city of Agidel. To register for the elections, the candidate must submit to the electoral commission 14 signatures in support of his nomination. Alexei Akimenko’s election campaign will be held under the general party slogan “For Peace and Freedom! For the Ceasefire Agreement!”
Alexei Akimenko, 29, has been member of the Yabloko party since 2019, Chairman of the Agidel local branch of the party, and member of the Regional Bureau.
Akimenko is the founder and Chairman of the youth public movement White City, former deputy of the Agidel City Council (2020-2024), member of the standing Commission of the Council on budget, taxes, finance, property and land (2020-2024).
The candidate from Yabloko participated in the environmental movement #StopKambarka against the construction of a landfill and a plant for the processing of hazardous chemical waste.
Elections in Agidel will be held on a single voting day – 14 September.
