Chelyabinsk Yabloko will participate in municipal elections in Miass and Kopeysk

The Chelyabinsk regional branch of the Yabloko party has nominated candidates in single-mandate electoral constituencies for elections to the city councils of Miass and Kopeysk. The electoral campaigns of Yabloko candidates in will be conducted under the party slogan “For Peace and Freedom! For the Ceasefire Agreement!”.
Valentina Komkova, human rights defender and teacher of history and social studies, became a Yabloko candidate for city deputy in Miass, in constituency No. 14.
Dmitry Sogrin, teacher of Russian language and literature and journalist, became a candidate for city deputy in Kopeysk, in constituency No. 20.
On 14 September, a single voting day in Russia, residents of the Chelyabinsk region will elect deputies to the regional parliament, as well as 723 representatives to 39 municipal assemblies throughout the region.
Yabloko calls all its supporters to join the party electoral campaign “For Peace and Freedom! For the Ceasefire Agreement!” and become a candidate for peace!
Chelyabinsk Yabloko also asks its supporters to help in collection of signatures in favour of registration of Yaboko candidates in the race for the regional Legislative Assembly.
