Yabloko invites to the screening of Marlen Khutsiev’s film “People of 1941”

On the evening of 21 June, on the threashold of a sad anniversary of fascist Germany’s attack on the USSR on 22 June 1941, we will conduct screening of Marlen Khutsiev’s film “People of 1941” paying tribute to the heroes and victims of the Second World War and talk about the lessons of that terrible time and the civic responsibility of today.
Marlen Khutsiev’s film is dedicated to the most terrible event that befell his generation – the war, which in our country became known as the Great Patriotic War. In his last completed film, the classic of Russian cinema recalls his classmates who went to the warfields from their school graduation, pays tribute to the memory of their feat, which became part of the feat of the entire people.
“People of 1941” was filmed in 2001 with the support of the Yabloko party. Marlen Khutsiev’s students – VGIK students – took part in the work on the film.
This year marks the centenary of famous films director Marlen Khutsiev, who during his lifetime set the standard for the depth of artistic thinking and responsible humane position.
We meet at the Yabloko party office at Pyatnitskaya, 31 building 2, on Saturday, 21 June, at 8 p.m. Prior registration for the event is mandatory.
