Past weekend, the regional branch of Yabloko in the Kirov region held a Conference, where they discussed the results of their work over the past two years, elected new leadership and decided on a work plan for the coming months.

Artur Abashev was elected Chairman of the Kirov regional branch of the Yabloko Party for a second term. Polina Kuskova became Deputy Chair. Tatyana Naumovich was elected to the Bureau of the regional branch; the Chairman and his deputy are members of the Bureau by virtue of their posts.

Andrei Zhuravlev, Dmitry Sharafutdinov and Nadezhda Balandina were elected members of the Control and Audit Commission.

Tatyana Naumovich was elected a representative of the branch in the Federal Council – the Chairman is a member of the Federal Council by virtue of the post.

The terms of office of all elected governing bodies of the regional branch are two years.

Artur Abashev noted in his speech to the delegates that over the past two and a half years, the Kirov Yabloko organised 26 actions of writing letters to political prisoners, eight lectures and three workshops. In 2023, the regional branch of the party sent 124 candidates to the precinct electoral commissions, of which 79 people were accepted members of the precinct electoral commissions.

“We will continue our activities to support political prisoners: holding actions of writing letters to political prisoners, providing them with legal aid, protecting their rights together with members of the Public Monitoring Commission. The regional branch’s immediate plans include participation, together with the Society of Victims of Political Repression, in the commemoration event on 30 October and establishing cooperation with organisations that support our party’s slogan: “For Peace and Freedom!”,” Artur Abashev, Chairman of the Yabloko regional branch in the Kirov region, commented on the work plan.
