The conference of the Krasnoyarsk regional branch of the Yabloko party nominated two candidates for by-elections to the regional Legislative Assembly and to the Berezovsky District Council. The party will be represented in the elections by retired law enforcement officer Viktor Zagorodnikov and current deputy of the Esaul village council Alexander Zagainov. The candidates will conduct the election campaign under the slogan “For Peace and Freedom! For the ceasefire agreement!”.

To get registered in the race Viktor Zagorodnikov as candidate for deputy of the Legislative Assembly must collect 3,100 signatures in his support from residents of the Krasnoyarsk Territory by 25 July.

By running for deputy of the district council, Alexander Zagainov expects to receive more powers to help residents of the Berezovsky district. “A deputy must solve the problems of his fellow countrymen and treat everyone with respect,” Yabloko member Alexander Zagainov says.

Yabloko asks all residents of the regions who are ready to leave a signature in support of the nomination of a candidate from Yabloko to the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory or are ready to help Yabloko in the elections, contact the regional branch.

Elections in the Krasnoyarsk Territory will be held on a single voting day, 8 September.
