On 12 June, a conference of the Chelyabinsk regional branch of the Yabloko party nominated Yaroslav Shcherbakov as a candidate for the post of Governor of the Chelyabinsk region.
At the conference, Yaroslav Shcherbakov presented the key messages of his election programme: for peace, freedom and healthy changes for the Chelyabinsk region:
– without a ceasefire and the start of negotiations on future peace, the killing of people will not stop, there will be no increase in the level and quality of life of citizens, and there will be no prospects for sustainable development either for the Chelyabinsk region or for the country.
– instead of the next unrealistic megaprojects and promises – like summits, metro, high-speed rail – a person, his/her life, health, rights, freedoms, the opportunity for creative development and dignified satisfaction of needs must become the main megaproject for the authorities of the Chelyabinsk region.
Yaroslav Shcherbakov addresses his fellow citizens:
“In order for citizens who do not agree with what has been happening in the country to have the opportunity to vote for an alternative in these elections, the candidate from the Yabloko party needs to overcome the municipal filter – obtain 264 signatures of municipal deputies in support of his nomination. I ask you to help me reach every deputy: share their contacts or ask them for support yourself.”
The Chelyabinsk regional branch of the Yabloko party calls on residents of the Chelyabinsk region to help the candidate for peace and freedom overcome the municipal filter: “Contact your municipal deputies, tell them about our candidate and offer to support his nomination by putting their signatures in his favour”.
