Deputies of the Yabloko faction in the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly published their income declarations for 2023. Alexander Shishlov and Boris Vishnevsky insist on the openness of people’s representatives, and therefore do not take advantage of the possibility to report anonymously envisaged by the recent law.
Each reported an income of just over five million roubles. The spouses of Shishlov and Vishnevsky declared their incomes in 2023 of 423.000 and 319.000 roubles, respectively.
In 2023, the pro-government majority of deputies of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg voted for the opportunity to hide their incomes from voters. Now they are published in an impersonal form: a random number – the “number” of the deputy and the amount earned. The Yabloko faction voted against the adoption of such amendments that made the reporting of deputies anonymous. The party believes that it is unacceptable for representatives of voters to hide this information.
“The current form of “official” publication of information about deputies’ incomes looks like a demonstration of disrespect for citizens. Deputies of the Yabloko faction do not intend to hide behind numbers and will continue to inform their voters about what they live on,” Alexander Shishlov, head of the Yabloko faction, said.
