Yabloko to host the “Live Forever” theatre piece by the Moscow independent theatre Baggage
Press Release 5.03.2024
On 11 March, the Yabloko party Moscow office will host the “Live Forever” theatre piece. The key idea of the play is as follows: one must remain human always and in any conditions and trials.
The play is staged by the Moscow independent theatre Baggage.
The production is based on one of the most striking passages from the novel “Life and Fate” by Vasily Grossman, an epic novel about the Second World War. Many compare this work to War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy.
The last letter of a Jewish mother to her son is an excerpt of the novel, when a mother writes to her son, knowing that tomorrow she will be shot. She describes her feelings, relationships with the inhabitants of the ghetto, and recalls the most important moments of her life. At the end of the letter, she writes: “Live, live forever, Your Mom…”.
“Live Forever” is a performance about overcoming evil, about the triumph of the spirit!
Director: Liliya Bornashova.
The main role is played by theatre and movie actress Nuria Chavkina.
Other roles are played by the actors of the theatre.
The performance won the prizes of the International Theatre Festival of National Theatres “Moscow as City of the World” (nomination “The Best Actress”) and the “Moscow Festival of Independent Theatres” (nomination “For Best Direction”).
The performance runs for 1 hour without intermission.
The performance will be shown at the office of the Yabloko party in Moscow (the address: Pyatnitskaya 31, building 2) on 11 March, at 19:30. Admission is free. Registration is required due to the limited number of seats.
