The Vakhitovsky District Court of Kazan fined Ruslan Zinatullin 25,000 roubles under Article 20.2 part 2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“organisation of mass simultaneous stay and (or) movement of citizens in public places, resulting in a violation of public order”).
It should be noted that on Saturday, 24 February, Zinatullin was detained immediately after his single picket (such pickets do not require any coordination with the authorities) demanding that the body of Alexei Navalny be given to his relatives. Two days before the trial, Ruslan was kept in the police department. He is charged with Article 20.2 part 2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“organisation of mass simultaneous stay and (or) movement of citizens in public places, resulting in a violation of public order”).
Ruslan also said that an employee of the Centre for Conter-Acting Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs came to the police department where Ruslan was kept to take an explanatory note about his laying of flowers in memory of the murdered critic of the Kremlin Boris Nemtsov on the previous day.
