Yabloko to host a discussion “Why didn’t books help?”

We invite everyone to join our open discussion “Why didn’t books help?”, timed to coincide with the second anniversary of the start of the “special military operation” on the territory of Ukraine. Several invited guests will take part in the discussion: a teacher, a journalist, an actor, a writer and a sociologist.
Among the participants are Nadezhda Azhgikhina, writer, journalist and director of the PEN-Moscow Association; Alexander Gnezdilov, theatre director; Sasha Nikolayenko, writer and winner of the Russian Booker and Yasnaya Polyana awards; Tatyana Parshina, actress; Nikolai Rybakov, politician and Chairman of the Yabloko party; Alexander Userdin, actor.
Excerpts from the book “Boys in Zinc” by Svetlana Alexievich will also be recited at the event.
The event will be held at the office of the Yabloko party on 21 February at 19:00. The address: Moscow, Pyatnitskaya 31, building 2. Registration is required to participate.
